rai_zen Posted October 24, 2005 Share Posted October 24, 2005 (edited) I know this problem's kind of old, but i can't seem to find the proper way to fix the KOF2003 ROMset that i've downloaded. I tried running it in Nebula but the controls won't work. I've already looked for the patches, but still i can't find a way to make this work. Here's the exact ROMset with its CRCs that i currently have, this is the clean file: P-ROM271-p1.rom 57A1981D S-ROM271-s1.rom DF422440 M-ROM271-m1.rom E86AF8F V-ROMs271-v1.rom D2B8AA5E271-v2.rom 71956EE2271-v3.rom DDBBB199271-v4.rom 1B90C4F C-ROMs271-c1.rom E42FC226271-c2.rom 1B5E3B58271-c3.rom D334FDD9271-c4.rom D457699271-c5.rom 8A91AAE4271-c6.rom 9F8674B8271-c7.rom 374EA523271-c8.rom 75211F4DI was wondering if what kind of ROMset did i get... i usually see 2 P-ROMs on the DATs that i get here. Please i need your help with this one. I don't know what to do first whether to patch this to this or that to that. Thanks in advance. BTW, i'm using Nebula 2.25... and i also got the loader. Agozer Posted October 25, 2005 Share Posted October 25, 2005 In most newer sets there is only 1 P rom because the data of the P2 is already in the P1 as well. Make sense to you? As for the controls not working: There have been others who claim to have this problem, yet many people (myself included) never had such problems). Agozer Posted October 25, 2005 Share Posted October 25, 2005 Bankswitching is a type of protection used in newer Neo-Geo games. A type of memory mapping to be exact. There is nothing wrong with your DAT. Like I said before, other people have had issues in Nebula in the form of the controls not working. Honestly, I don't know how it can be fixed. I was using dat i've found on some forum (maybe it was this one ) and i had the same problems with controls. Later i've found what the problem was. The dat didn't have this part : [System] CartridgeID: 271 GfxCrypt: 0 GfxKey: 0 ButLayout: 9 Fix: 0 So check your dat in romdata folder or make a new one with romdata maker Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
