so yours is likely a v9-v11, be sure to get the laser fix done so it can last long

oh and make that slide card out of an old Credit card or ID card or something

for the slimline I use 2 tiny pieces of plastic and swapmagic 3.6... works like a charm, though some people reported the tiny plastic pieces didnt work for them and they used a fliptop instead. Also heard that it doesn't work with the new silver version (maybe by now someone's fixed that, don't know).

yeah with the newer slim PS2 you need a different plastic thingy is all

 

ive found like 4 different laser replacement things, and it sounds like you only have to do that on a PS2 where it already broke at the sites, and the only laser chip thing i found is for the slimline ps2, can anyone point me in the right direction?

instead of worrying now, just wait till ur laser is broke and then replace it

if you don't apply the romeo fix to that v9 the LA chip is going to burn out and render your system useless, contact an installer somewhere and ask if they can do a romeo mod on your unit
