Battlefield 2 FYI

Just thought id let everyone know, Battlefield 2 for Xbox is sweet, and if you buy it and while playing online your Xbox freezes alot, you DONT have a defective disc, and your Xbox ISNT dying, I called EA and they confirmed they are having some server troubles after the Xbox Live maintainence and the problem is on their end, they said they are looking after the situation and it should be fixed really soon.

 

I guess wait a week or 2 before buying it at most. The single player is great though, so i have no problem playing that for the time being

Didn't realize it was out already. I had a blast with the demo and I still play it.

yeah it came out a day or two ago, my brother was OBSESSED with the demo, i play it too sometimes and im trying to get good

 

I cant stop laughing histerically at what me and my brother call "n00b flys the helicopter"

 

I cant fly that thing for crap hhhahahahaaahah omg whenever i get in one i take out my entire team.

 

Im not THAT bad on foot/in tanks and stuff though, if you want to play my gamertag is Shibathedog, more than likely it will be my brother on in that game though as im more obsessed with Farcry for the time being

Update: Yesterday EA released an auto update patch that should fix everything, ive been playing since them and it hasnt frozen once

They seem to be releasing the XBOX patches quite quickly while we had to wait a goddamn long time for a patch.

Thats because PC gamers are far more understanding (?) when a game has bugs that need sorted out.

Most console gamers out there are oblivious to the idea of patches and simply want their games to work. Mind you it should be like that, the development is for one solid platform that the developer knows about entirely, there should be no bugs present in a console game.

PC games however can be run on a wide array of hardware, far more likely for bugs to be present......with the developer being unaware in some cases.

The the patch for Battlefield 2 wasn't really a stablility patch, it was gameplay fixes and UI features that they should have taken care of before they shipped the game. I mean how the flock do you ship a game with a server browser that doesn't have a favorites section?

 

I'm used to patches since I am primarily a PC gamer but the reason it sucks is that I don't even play the game anymore since it took them so long to release the patch. Everyone I know who played also gave up so meh. :-/

The problem with the xbox one had something to do with bandwidth regulation or something i dont remember

 

But yeah there are games that came out like 10 years ago that are still being patched i think its a good thing.
