ken_cinder Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 LOS ANGELES—The Recording Industry Association of America announced Tuesday that it will be taking legal action against anyone discovered telling friends, acquaintances, or associates about new songs, artists, or albums. When are these pieces of crap going to get slapped with a multi billion dollar civil suit that forces them to STFU and go away? (I may be Canadian and this doesn't really affect me, but I still hate corporate trash) Article Is this believeable or is The Onion some sort of parody site?
Weirdy Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 ok, now this is waay too much regulation now I hope somone takes the spreading of word to an extreme to boycott at least besides, why?! The musik business is doing good; cd sales are down, but legal downloads are raking in the dough due to the popularity of portable music players strange crap
Inky Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 WTF? that can't be serious. so I could get sued for telling my friend about the new Horrorpops album? how do they expect non-top 40/radio friendly bands to sell albums.
Inky Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 ok looking around the onion it looks like a joke news site
ken_cinder Posted December 6, 2005 Author Posted December 6, 2005 Oh well, those pieces of crap still need the shirts sued right off their backs for many reasons, not least of all.......violation of privacy.

Dooz Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 The Onion is the best source of news on the planet. What's that tell you about the state or our news sources?
Weirdy Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 What's that tell you about the state or our news sources?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>that the only ones that are trustworthy are local news programs
OverlordMondo Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 What's that tell you about the state or our news sources?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>that the only ones that are trustworthy are local news programs <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wtf? Those aren't trustworthy. The only trustworthy news programs are owned by radio pirates. And those have been on the down side recently.
