Sounds and Speaker

Hi people! I am having trouble with my sounds and speaker, I don’t know what's the problem is? Every time I want to listen to certain music or even the music that I have downloaded from the internet I cannot hear anything? What do you think the problem is? I already checked my sounds settings and everything, but still nothing happens.

Anyone can help? Will be much appreciated!

1)which media player are you using?

 

2)is the power supply to the speakers connected properly?

 

3)what kind of sound card do you have?

 

4)did you turn on digital output only?

and if your downloading music from kazaa or something equally crappy, you get blank tracks alot

 

When you adjust the volume does it make the little ding noise?
