Rowan
My friend got The Sims 2 for pc and he burned them to 4cds for me. He tryed them in his computer and there loading fine, but when i put CD1 in my computer to install the game its like the DVDRW drive really slows down.. like clicking on it.. getting into the stuff.. and worse of all the installer isnt working. I am trying to make an.ISO of the cd in MagicISO but its really taking ages.. Any ideas on what the problem is and how to fix it?

LG drives can take a while (but definitely not too long) to get Autorun started or get a setup program (after Autorun) running, but other than that, my drive is speedy. There is no visible "lag" in any other functions besides the ones I mentioned. So...

Agozer
Just curious: have you had this problem with any other games (besides time it takes for the drive to spin up etc.)?
Shibathedog
It sounds like your drive is having trouble reading those discs, i forget the techinical term but they might be "weakly-burned" although usually DVD-Burners are pretty good about that
