I just upgraded my psp to 1.5 to 2.6, now.....I'm screwed if you know what I'm talking about. I can't run homebrews and all the good stuff. Shoot, I'm screwed now, my PSP is worthless, so, please do not upgrade.

News has been around for what? 3 - 4 months now?

 

Anyway, there is a downgrader, but AFAIK it renders your PSP useless if you use it with firmware above 2.0.

 

And by useless I mean it will become an expensive brick.

well, I know that sony screwed me with their crap. I was trying to play GTA. I can only wait with my hands squeezed, for a 2.6 downgrader.

The ONLY versio that you can downgrade is version 2.0 with a hack. No other version is downgradeable.

2.0 is on the gta disk. how did you go all the way up to 2.6?

Well, I did upgrade to FW2.5 myself to play WWE SVR2006.

IMO, there is not much in ISO loaders and omebrew anyway.

I don't care about old games like SNES games and such, and most new games need higher firmware anyway

 

Curretly busy playing SVR2006 and Kingdom Of Paradise.
