melw Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 just wanted to ask if anybody's working on irc client for ds now when the first library release is out? or do i have to bother to write one myself...
MaHe Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 You never really checked out www.akkit.org/dswifi, did you?
infernoDS Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 (edited) As far as I know, MaHe, sgstair has confirmed he won't work on an IRC client. He mentioned a "test irc-app" on the DSWIFI site, but on this forum he said he stopped working on it as he is primarily focusing on the lib. I will find the topic asap. EDIT: found it! http://www.1emulation.com/forums/index.php...pic=16153&st=11 I don't think I'm going to be writing an IRC client - it's worked out to where it's probably just to release the lib to everyone and such things will quickly emerge. -Stephen Edited January 8, 2006 by infernoDS
Sintax Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 I thought about it, but I don't think it's possible until TCP/IP is fully implemented.
Alias-Zero Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 I thought about it, but I don't think it's possible until TCP/IP is fully implemented.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope, not possible without tcp/ip implementation.
El_Hobito Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 i making my own chat program, but i've just starting having only just got it compiling and got PA_lib going hopefully tomorrow it might get interesting but i am v v rusty on c(my knowledge has been corrupted by java!) so dont expect anything
melw Posted January 15, 2006 Author Posted January 15, 2006 I thought about it, but I don't think it's possible until TCP/IP is fully implemented.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep.. Been playing around with a simple irc client tests but now the lack of TCP/IP support is a bottleneck. Well, at least when it's done I have something usable ready waiting...
