Sintax Posted February 8, 2006 Author Posted February 8, 2006 (edited) I heard this somewhere but is it true? Can you really access win2ds from another ap, like a a starbucks or mcdonalds or soemthing?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>You should be able to use it from any access point, over the internet. I haven't tried it or worked on it over the internet (as oppsed to on a LAN), so I'm not sure how well it will work, but it'll work. I'll work on that soon. As for WEP, ITS NOT IN THE LIB YET. I can't do anything about it until it is. Read up on all this stuff before you post. Edited February 8, 2006 by Sintax
fischju Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 (edited) AWESOME So the password on the server is a good thing, so peopel cant access your computer over the internet Edited February 8, 2006 by fischju
ChesireCat564 Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 are you using the SGStair lib or another one? because the latest release of SGStair's wifi lib test has WEP support
fischju Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Where did you see that? from latest update:"... WEP is being worked on but it's unclear why it's not working at the moment. I'm still busy with other projects besides this one so it is still going slowly, but progress is being made. "
ChesireCat564 Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 alright im confused... the last version i downloaded had an option for 64 bit WEP encryption and 128 bit... i got into my router which has 64 bit encryption and it pinged successfully...
death_entry Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 (edited) just says waiting for me :s edit: used custom settings, sweet it works, but very slow for some reason my access point is only at 2mb instead of 54mb Edited February 9, 2006 by death_entry
Warlord698 Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 how far are you from access point, it migh add some reason why only 2
Sektor Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 (edited) The DS only supports up to 2mbit. That's still fast enough for most apps. Edited February 9, 2006 by Sektor
