I'm sensing many will not read the entire thing so here is a nice piece.

The hands-on evidence is beginning to mount up. We're talking about a machine barely superior to Xbox 360 - not by any significant margin. It's certainly obvious this machine is not "twice" as powerful as 360, let alone a generational leap ahead. But the gap could become bigger: "Realistically, as libraries and experience with both machines grow, I think the PS3 will start showing things the 360 will choke at," offers the source. "But Sony will have to make available to us libraries and new routines for that to happen - something they've been severely lacking at so far."

I can't see it being apparant ever. Dual core programming requires enough as is, the Cell is too complicated for the average developing house to really make any extensive use of.

I smell a Sega Saturn.......

I read the whole thing. I just can't form an opinion that will basically boil down to me saying "Sony sucks" in 2 paragraphs, so, I'll say it now. Sony sucks.

I don't trust that article one bit. Wait till the system is actually released then make comments about it.

Of course, because a developer's view of it is blasphamy!

I have my skepticism too. But if those dev kits are really final then there probably won't be that big of a difference between the real thing and those dev kits.

It would come down to whether that report is accurate, and seeing as it doesnt sound all that unlikely, Id reckon yeh it is.

And then if thats true.. I think there will be a big gap between the quality of the Metal Gears of next gen and everything else.
