You're kidding right? Obviously you have to buy it, unless you have a ATI All-in-Wonder Card or an nVidia with TV-In.

Ah, should of been more specific of what you were trying to do. You should try FRAPS which you can google. Small 5 MB download last time I checked. Very powerful, even if it's the free version.

 

It should work, I got it to work with Kawaks at fullscreen. But not totally sure otherwise.

I think FRAPS only works with Direct3D and OpenGL. Not sure though. The performance hit isn't too bad but it depends on what you're capping.
