One of the greatest comedians, Don Knotts died today from pulmonary and respiratory problems. He lived a fairly long life to 82 years of age. He's best known for being the cop in the Andy Griffith Show and many other classic movies. It use to be my favorite TV show and it's really a shame that he's now gone too. I'll say it again, and again; it seems like all the great actor's of the past are dying around this time. Rest in Peace.

Yep, I'll remember him best in Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo though. Mayor Turkey Lurkey was funny too!

Rest in Peace and may your films and TV shows live on forever!

if my granpa were still alive hed truly be sad. all of his shows and movies made us laugh and smile. he had so much personality to me as a kid and even now as Im 23 years old. I grew up watching this kinda stuff instead of SNL and In living color(who remembers that one eh?)

he was a great actor and his memory will surely live on. no ones gonna be able to emulate his style

Dennis Weaver, an actor with a Midwestern twang who played stiff-legged Chester the deputy on "Gunsmoke" and the cowboy cop hero in "McCloud," has died. He was 81.
