Shibathedog Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 I just got teh newest version, WTF is up with the new shoutcast thing? I like the old one better, i cant find anything as easily with this "shoutcast wire" crap, i want the old one!
Alpha Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Why don't you just search your stations using http://shoutcast.com ?
Agozer Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 I have the new Winamp and I don't know what you are talking about. Then again, I haven't looked at Winamp's new features that much. I just download a playlist from ShoutCast and then open it in Winamp, like I've done for the past three years now.
Tynvar Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Yes I'm upset with that too. Before Winamp had a radio tab like iTunes where you could pick a radio station. Now with that Shoutcast thing I don't know how to get radio anymore.
Lucandrake Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 He clicked on the wrong shoutcast. Or at least the gay one. Go media libary, online services, shoutcast radio. It should be on top of portables which is on top of shoutcast gay.
Weirdy Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 You're crazy man, I love this new shoutcast thing myself. I've found a lot more radio stations than I've ever been able to find before. I remember the old one would display only a few stations with a bit rate of 160kbps and only two with 320kbps . This new one makes it easier IMO.

Now I don't have to go to the ShoutCast page to download playlists.

Just as a list of playlists. On this one, you can just browse genres and it has an even wider selection of stations; especially those with high bit rates. I've found a shitload of industrial and ambient stations that the old one wouldn't list.

Weirdy Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Either way, I think it's good. I wish the shoutcast tv playlists were grouped by genre too. Then it'd be easier to look for cartoons, tv shows, and porn.
