Hi guys, i think i understand how to get this program to work through my wireless router. but is there a way i can get my laptop to act as an access point so i can connect my DS straight to it? thanks.

That depends on what chip you have, if there is a driver somewhere that supports soft ap mode and that is for the same chip your laptop has, then you could just that driver. I assume it is an onboard chip, right?

thanks for the information :huh:. the onboard wireless chip my laptop uses is a broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN. i'm guna google it now and see if i can come up with a driver for soft AP mode.

can't find one :banghead:  o well i guess it isnt possible. cheers for your help. i know i give up easily lol.

 

You could look for a cheap pcmcia wifi card that is on that list.

If you can find out what chip it uses (broadcom is afaik only the company and I don't think they have a softap driver for it).

If you find out what chip it use then post it here maybe someone knows about a soft ap driver by an other company.
