Pricing out parts for a new box

Recommended Posts

You don't buy from some newbie on Ebay with 0 feedback. This 5 year old PC that is just becoming "outdated" enough to not be able to play the latest games, is 100% Ebay bought parts save for the hard drives in it.

When I built it, it was the best that money could buy, and the proof is in the fact that it can handle Doom 3 without any modifications necessary to get it to run.

I'll also stress like I have before, I know how to maintain and run my system to keep myself 3 strides ahead of the average user. When your system is "technically" twice as fast as mine, mine is truly twice as fast as yours. :(

Good choice.  :(  But also consider a jump to the 4000 series.

Naw, only if your hip. You can save money buy a 37/38 and overclocking it a bit. It's possible to OC a 3800+ X2 to a certain FX with a change of cooling.
