Mooney
Ebay? I wouldn't trust the quality of the drives on Ebay... but that's just paranoid little me.
ken_cinder
You don't buy from some newbie on Ebay with 0 feedback. This 5 year old PC that is just becoming "outdated" enough to not be able to play the latest games, is 100% Ebay bought parts save for the hard drives in it.When I built it, it was the best that money could buy, and the proof is in the fact that it can handle Doom 3 without any modifications necessary to get it to run.I'll also stress like I have before, I know how to maintain and run my system to keep myself 3 strides ahead of the average user. When your system is "technically" twice as fast as mine, mine is truly twice as fast as yours.
ken_cinder
I've decided I'm going with a 3700+ instead, wants the 1MB cache and it's not much of a price difference.
Mooney
Good choice. But also consider a jump to the 4000 series.
Wizard
Good choice. But also consider a jump to the 4000 series.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Naw, only if your hip. You can save money buy a 37/38 and overclocking it a bit. It's possible to OC a 3800+ X2 to a certain FX with a change of cooling.
