Old news, and the media hyped it out to be more than it really is. It's nothing more than a portable ballistic missle defense system using radar.

 

It's also quite likely to be unable to handle multiple targets well.

 

The media makes it out to be some kickass forcefield that deflects projectiles. Quite not.

Sure, thats why soldiers are still being killed in Afghanistan and Iraq by RPGs hitting their armored vehicles.

Roadside bombs actually account for more deaths, but they aren't the only thing. (Why don't these guys stay the hell off the road, or away from parked vehicles?)

We are saving the big tech for a fight against korea or china. its like the Wii controller, the later you announce it and the less details you give the more time it will take for somone to copy it

The only way soldiers can stay off the road or away from parked vehicles in either of those countries would be to stay in their base all day!

 

Now the day all soldiers hide in their base all day and all night afraid of those IEDs buried in the roads is the day the terrorists win!
