mrlipring Posted May 29, 2003 Posted May 29, 2003 well, i have a ti4200 128mb golden sample 650xp. Do you want vivo? it would appear that the 5200 is SLIGHTLY faster, with dx9 support, but no vivo.
emsley Posted May 30, 2003 Author Posted May 30, 2003 Not sure im a bit of a noober when it comes to cards.... What would you go for. I think the last one could be better of coursee you pay more mooney you get beeter stuff
mrlipring Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 do you plan on using tv-in? will you be wanting to capture video? if not, the geforce fx is what you want. either card is pretty good though.
emsley Posted June 2, 2003 Author Posted June 2, 2003 Will it run splinter cell and metal gear solid 2?
ME! Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 it should. just make sure the cards have T&L support, which they most likely do, and you will be set.
emsley Posted June 2, 2003 Author Posted June 2, 2003 T@L effect= smooooooth surficies Will be a few weeks but ill have a new card soon.
game0guy Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 Defintly lots better than my Geforce2mx Too bad time has passed my old faithfull by. You just cant get by on 350mhz machine with a 64meg 2mx and 384 megs of ram ('')
mrlipring Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 either of those cards will play any of the current games just fine, assuming you're running a relatively fast machine anyway. (faster than 1ghz) they both have t@l, yeah. the only difference between them is that the fx has full dx9 support, and the gf4 has tv-in, and is a wee bit slower.
