trouble with Kawaks & KOF2003...

hi.

 

for some odd reason i'm having a bit of trouble running my version of KOF2003 with the Kawaks 1.55 Loader. the ROM i have is apparently a MAME ROM:

 

 

anyway, i've created a dat file using RomData Maker for the ROM which looks something like this:

now i'm under the assumption that this is all correct for my ROM. however, when i try to run it, my Kawaks just closes completely when trying to load 271-m1c.bin:

 

 

i also have a similiar problem with SVC Chaos and Metal Slug 5 -- however, these manage to begin to run after adding the dat file, but i simply get taken to a blue screen in Kawaks. again, all MAME ROMs.

 

anyone have any ideas? i cant really seem to tell what the problem is here, because i'm pretty sure the ROMs are fine. could it be because they are MAME ROMs? or is it something else?

now that mame suports it why not use mame

get the mame roms

Probably because he wants netplay ^^ if that's the only reason for it, I'd suggest using fba plus or fba evo

The game is encrypted and you have no decryption info in your DAT. I'm not even too sure if you can get the encrypted set working in Kawaks/Nebula at all.

i tried getting a neogeo version of the ROM, and the same thing happens when i try to load it. i assume that this one would be encrypted too? however this set worked using the Nebula 2.25 Loader.

 

i guess the only way to get KOF2003 running in Kawaks would be to get a decrypted ROM? like, a bootleg version?

I used the neogeo rom for kof2003 and it is running perfectly on my kawaks loader 1.46,thanks to a new set of dat which I found from robert's posted kawaks loader.
