hihat
Hi, I can't get kof2003 to run. Kawaks crashes as it attempts to load the rom for Kof . I'm using the loader with Kawaks 1.55. I used romdata maker to extract the dat info below. Suggestions? Thanks. Agozer
To my knowledge it doesn't work properly, because the set is encrypted. Use the fixed bootleg set or the decrypted set (kof2003d) or use MAME. Or wait until it's officially supported in Kawaks/Nebula.
Robert
Yes, Kawaks doesn't have the decryption routines that are needed for kof2003. Even if it did, your dat wouldn't work because you haven't attempted to call up any decryption. Use the set that was specified in the dat when you first got the loader. In case you lost it here it is: System: NEORomName: kof2003dGame: The King of Fighters 2003 (decrypted)Parent: kof2003[Program]271-p1.rom,0,800000,0,0 [Text]271-s1.rom,0,20000,0,0 [Z80]271-m1.rom,0,20000,0,0 [samples]271-v1.rom,0,400000,0,0271-v2.rom,400000,400000,0,0271-v3.rom,800000,400000,0,0271-v4.rom,C00000,400000,0,0 [Graphics]271-c1.rom,0,800000,0,0271-c2.rom,1,800000,0,0271-c3.rom,1000000,800000,0,0271-c4.rom,1000001,800000,0,0271-c5.rom,2000000,800000,0,0271-c6.rom,2000001,800000,0,0271-c7.rom,3000000,800000,0,0271-c8.rom,3000001,800000,0,0 [system]CartridgeID: 271GfxCrypt: 0GfxKey: 0ButLayout: 9Fix: 0 It's some neoragex set. hihat
Thanks for the advice, I tried your dat Robert but I get "couldn't find 271-p1.rom (00000000) for game, ERROR." I managed to find kof2003d.zip but it also doesn't run with the romdata maker dat either. Any more advice? Thanks.
Agozer
So make the DAT by hand and change the values (Size, filename, CRCs) in the DAT that Robert posted to match the set you have. Sometimes it's better not to rely on programs that do the work for you. If you have the right kof2003d.zip, double check that the filesizes, file names and CRCs match.
