Funny/Demented Japanese Movies!

Yay! They are so much fun! But since i barely know anything about what kind of movies float around Japan, I thought id start a topic where we could post our favorite ones! (Conveniently around the time im looking for some new ones to watch)

 

and i actually prefer to watch them in japanese with english subs.

Casshern (japanese)

My Wife is a Gangster (korean)

Ong Bak (thai, awesomeness ^53)

Battle Royal (japanese, gruesome)

Ichi the Killer (japanese, extremely gruesome but funny)

The Grudge (either the remake or the original)

Dark Water (either the remake or the original)

Odishon (Audition) - japanese (you find out on yer own, plot is pretty twisted) made by Takahashi Miike (who also made Uchi the Killer)

 

 

 

Tales of Two Sisters - korean (best korean cinemagraphy yet, awsome plot that you have to unravel in the end, most likely need you to watch it more than one time to get whats goin on).

Personally.. my favorite Stephen Chow movie, I find it the most funniest yet:

it's an old 1950's movie about a guy who knows he's goioing to die and spends his last few days working for a cause.

yeah Stephen Chow movies are good ive seen a few of those, i should dig through my VCD collection and post what i find (whenever i go to Chinatown NYC i pick up a bunch of random VCDs just to watch, even if i dont know whats going on its fun for some reason, and they are like 2-8 bucks!)

All of the Godzilla movies (except the American one) are good in my opinion. Watched them all the time when I was a kid. Ichi the Killer is also pretty good. Also Riki-Oh (Chinese) is a good action/splatter/comedy movie.
