stohrye
hey i just joined today and i dont know much about this stuff. so if someone could help me out please do so. <Note>(this is not the iso, it is the actual playstation game)I finally got final fantasy 7 to work up until the part on the 1st disc where Tifa asks Cloud about forgetting about their childhood promise (right after going back to the hideout in the very beginning). He doesn't remember and then he leans his head back. That is where my screen goes black and the music still plays but it the screen stays black and doesn't change. How do i fix that? could this be a problem with my configuration of either my video or cd rom plugins?------------------------------I have a cheap 2002 gateway computer.I have not replaced the original graphics card in this particular computer which is:Intel ® Extreme Graphics (pretty gay)I have:504 MB of RAM2799 Mhz Processor Speed------------------------------i am using the epsxe emulator------------------------------Here is the config of the video plugin i am using. Agozer
If I had to take a blind stab at this I'd say that you need to Full Sfotware Drawing for Framebuffer access. Yes, your integrated Intel chip is "pretty gay", and in all honesty, I wouldn't be too surprised if that was a part of the problem. My best advice would be to fiddle with the Off-Screen Drawing, Advanced Blending, Framebuffer Textures and Framebufer Access settings. Also, read Pete's readme regarding the use of the plugin. A good number of games need specific and unrestricted off-screen drawing routines and framebuffer access to display graphics falwlessly (i.e. the most accurate way of emulating the PSX graphics and GPU, minus software rendering). Have you tried the OpenGL plugins?
