Uh, no. Adam Sessler blew it. He got way too emotional successfully made Jack Thomspon look good. G4 is just horrible, pure and unfiltered crap.

I disagree K`dash, Jack Thompson I believe had the lead in this one and same with the other parent. This is the first time I ever watched a video and actually saw the guy (Jack Thompson) speak. He seemed very knowledgeable on the topic, and I even would say Rockstar has put too much crap in their games. Many children out there don't have intelligent parents to not tell them to play the game or purchase it.

 

By far, Sessler looked like the most uneducated guy talking with his slurred speech and robust body movements. He just seemed like an average gaming fanatic who only speaked out of the blue. Only the parent was able to talk some sense into Thompson, and even then, Thompson put on the table many key factors from why he thinks games like GTA should be banned for children, period.

Half those keyfactors are the same ones that got him in trouble the past 2 years with alot of things. Including an investigation on his license and a true inquirey on his "statstics."

 

He's a troll and everyone knows! Alot of people say otherwise what happened there.

 

I know G4 is pretty much crap, but atleast it's Canadian counter part is still alot better.

 

EDITZ: they should work on this, a full on debate on G4, like what they did way back when for MP3s and copyright infrigment! good times!

The games are not targeted towards children; it's targeted towards the majority of gamers (who are adults according to the ESA).

 

Parents need to be a little more responsible.

As much as we say they shouldn't be having kids, they do. Look at these single mom's at age 16 trying to be parents and having grandma (who has no clue about games) let her grandson play GTA or even purchase it for them (just an example). This is the world we live in, enough fallacy.

I know that there are stupid 13 - 16 yr. old girls who get knocked up who's baby eventually ends up being raised by their parents (the child's grandparents).

 

However, you have to remember that old people may be too tired themselves to even do any parenting. If one child whines and cries because they want something, you think they're going to put their foot down? AFAIK, many legal guardians who are grandparents just choose to appease so the child can shut up while they're fast asleep on their recliners.

Those parents are a very small portion of today's society. Most people around that age don't have the time to play games, not even myself. The only way for us to be successful is to have a job and work (and maybe some hobbies on the side such as this one).

MOTHER: I'm not saying he wasn't a bit of a tearaway. But he never actually killed anyone before he started playing Computer games.

 

THE FINAL INSULT : I see. Might I suggest that you're a hideous, neurotic ball of lard, and an unfit mother to boot? Your Son's a yob and you're trying to direct the blame for his psychopathic tendencies away from your pitiful failure at parenthood.

i put some blame on parents who just buy their kids a game cuz the lil bastard whined for it and the parents dont pay attention to the raiting, but that is just on video games. if the same kid wanted to see a R or even a pg-13 movie the parent would be all over that saying no.but for most teenage kids who absorbs games as being real, thats their own fault, they are weak and feeble minded enough to run with the fantasy then some one failed them early in life to establish strong mental reality to them. lol apparantly they didnt get enough love or beatings as a kid. on another note rockstar or any other publisher who makes mature or AO rated games are making those games for ADULTS its just a prime example of wanting the forbidden fruit in the kids/teen case. the parents just need to balls up and say no plain and simple. Oh and btw jack T is a pretentious ass and for every point he tried to make there are studies that destroy it. adam ses just got too emotional, in fact he went into the whole thing like that which hurt his cause for gamers and made jack look like roses.
