Alpha
I was thinking how people all have a different perception of love. Some think it's just sex, other's think it's life and death. Some believe love doesn't exist without a partner and others believe love is a simple kiss on the cheek. Here's my short definition: Love is the passion of two partners who are able to express their bond with each other and their counter-parts (children). The two partners can express their bond with each other by sex or kiss. The only way to keep the bond with both the children and the partners is to express a feeling of ownership. This is by cuddling, hugging, and inspiring. P.S. If you want to write a definition, I think it would be best to not use the word love in the definition. And some examples of love: http://www.wellbored.com/funny_videos/page...eky_penguin.htm http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/7098/thpenguin3vk.gif GOT LOVE? BlackKnight
Thats true but too simple. It doesnt account for all the other intricacies of such a relationship... .. of course Im not going to be man enough to put forward a more complete one. Mostly because I dont have a firm idea of what I think it is. Im struggling with the notion that love isnt so much a symbiotic equal two-way relationship as it is a relationship of two people just using each other for whatever it is they need at the same time. That is depressing but, hell, Im still young. Hopefully Ill be turned around on this sooner or later.

ken_cinder
Well I'm married, so I'll sum it up like this: Love is 90% of the time looking over at the person and thinking "I want to spend the rest of my life with him/her" and 10% spent thinking "How can I fake my own death?" Love to me is a high level of respect or admiration. Perhaps he just needs some love? Edited August 14, 2006 by garyoak99
