Here’s a special treat for SDLMAME users: Haze’s already rather impressive Genesis emulator HAZEMD in standalone-ish form. The ease of use is not for the faint of heart (a good front end would go a long way) but if you can use SDLMAME you can make this work too.

 

Download the source right here [1.5 MB]. Yes, it’s that small, and it compiles quickly too. It needs GoodGen zipped (not 7zip!) ROMs renamed in a slightly weird way, but you’ll figure it out All graphics/sound options from SDLMAME are intact including OpenGL.
