Burners/discs are currently on the market, but its gonna cost you

(Between 980-1150 for a burner and like 10 bucks a disc, 25 for a rewritable disc O_O)

its not THAT bad of an investment though, because a standalone blu-ray player is between 500-1000+, so youll be able to watch Blu-Ray on your PC (After Vista comes out, Can you do it with XP? im not sure but i dont think so)

Reading the descriptions of some of those (TDK in specific) theres going to be QUAD-Layer discs soon? wow

Yeah thats all good in all but untill more movies are in HD format as the norm, then it will be worth it imo.

As for storage thats good but with HDD going down in price and eventually dual layer DvDs it still good enough for me.

i prefer Blu-Ray over HD-DVD myself

both kind of a waste without HDTV though, Plus ill be watching DVDs for a loonnnng time, MUCH easier to download than a Blu-Ray or HD-DVD hehe
