Rag
I prefer turn based even though there is some very nice real time RPGs like Diablo and Neverwinter Nights. I like the leveling systems in turn based games better. So much easier to train.
Diso
I rather play real time RPGs. As much as I like turned based RPGs, it gets to the point where I have to stay in an area and use same skills to defeat the same monsters over and over just to be over-leveled. I like being in control of the character and It is funner to run with a single character into an unknown area and get raped. Well, for me it is. Hack N slash rpgs are always are big plus. gymnist1026
it depends on teh game...if its just something that im playing by myself, then it has to be real time (w00t...Go Morrowind!!!) But if its online, i ike the turn based better that way, i dont get raped while im asleep...
Smilee
I'm most familiar with real time RPG's as they seem more heavily relied on quick thinking and reaction.
Agozer
Turn-based I think. I'm not saying that real-time RPGs are worse, but sometimes I feel that I'm not in control when every character in the battle constatantly does something without many breathers. and since all the others that are in your party are computer-controlled, the computer doesn't make very sound decisions all the time. Gryph
I like turn-based like in Fallout. Otherwise it's realtime for me.
Fatal Rose
Real time for the most part, but Agozer makes a valid point.
Private Biscuit
Turn Based. But some real-time RPG's are nice.
