Wizard
And to quote Joystiq. Right, when is it taking place? The event will take from July 11th until July 13th, 2007. It's not still in Los Angeles, is it? No, it's been moved to the considerably less vile Santa Monica. Attendee mortality rates should be significantly improved. That means they'll go down ... we think. And from Gamedaily. ...Today the ESA revealed that the new E3 Media and Business Summit will be held July 11-13, 2007, in Santa Monica and "will combine the best elements of the former trade show into a business event celebrating the video game industry's present and future." Event booking is expected tol be launched within the next 30 days. ESA members and non-members will have the opportunity to stage major press events, which ESA said will be the "centerpiece" of the new E3, and companies will be able to set up meetings in hotel suites and meeting rooms with media, retailers, developer partners, and others. The event will also feature a daily luncheon conference session with top executives and/or analysts, and a Serious Games showcase will also be present. The ESA is also looking into adding an independent games showcase. The "Into The Pixel" video game art competition and exhibition may also make a return. >>Gamedaily And no, you aren't invited. Lucandrake
I just can't help to think that I never got the chance to experience E3. Bah, what's gone is gone.
Robert
I had to look up where Santa Monica is, and found it is a suburb of Los Angeles! Evidently someone has a sense of humour. This E3 will be held at Barker Hangar, 3021 Airport Ave, which is right next to the airport. Hopefully this hangar will have sufficient insulation to keep the noise out! Map.
