General WinMugen questions from a newbie

Alright, I just started with mugen, and I originally had downloaded the actual one, but I was browsing and heard about WinMugen. I downloaded it and I have some questions.

 

1)Why are there 2 files to download on that site? One has WinMugen and the other one has some weird executable in it. What's that?

 

2)How come some of the things I was able to do with the original mugen, such as stretching the screen and whatnot, don't seem to work on this? Or do I have to do something else to fullscreen it?

 

The only things I've noticed that are better about this are that the sounds all work and that there is no character limit (though I hadn't added any characters on the original mugen and I haven't on this either so I wouldn't know. Like I said, I just got started.)

 

Any help would be awesome.

1)well there are to files there one is the pre pached winmugen (the no limit winmugen patch) and the other is a patch

 

2)all video options can be configured in the mugen.cfg file

OPen Mugen CFG file. Just put "1" when you reeach :

;Set to 1 to enable fullscreen mode, 0 for windowed.

FullScreen = 0

 

Or change 320x240 to 640x480...

Try one or the other...
