it might be discontinued now, but i still think the Logitech Wingman Rumblepad is the best gamepad made for the PC EVER

I remember PC Gamer drooling over it for quite some time.

For SNES and other 4 button uses, there was this cheapass microsoft one i remember you could pick up for like 10 bucks new at stores that had 4 buttons, two shoulder buttons and a D pad that wasnt bad either.

Logitech Rumblepad 2. I have one, so it must be great.

Oh wow, that looks like a really nice gamepad. Plus that's quite possibly the best product endorsement ever. Now to find it for cheap...

Thanks

Yes, it really is a great gamepad. It really shines in Psychonauts and other console ports, plus it's good for emulators too.

People are going for the rumblepad but Ill step in and endorse something else.. if it makes a difference...

XBOX 360 controller for Windows

It is amazing. Feels solid and stylish.. very responsive.. Only problem is those driver issues that you always hear about but honestly they dont matter. XBCD drivers solve everything and are easy to find (if not I can just PM you them). Also you can pick up the one for Windows or the normal USB wired one for the 360 and itll work aswell.

I cant say enough good things about it... I love it. Ive never used a Rumblepad so I cant say if its better or worse, but Id have a hard time believing you can top this controller by a huge margin.

EDIT: Of course if youve used the 360 controller before then youll already know whether you like it or not... :/

Yes, I have considered the 360 controller. I was hoping for something closer to the $20 range instead of $40. I really love the feel of the 360 controller because it fits my hands so perfectly and I prefer the locations of the two analog sticks but I never liked its d-pad so much. I'll probably have to feel the Rumblepad 2 before I purchase it, of course, but the 360 controller is high in the running.

Alright, due to lack of Rumblepad 2s with none in stock for a long time to come, I got a 360 controller.

Excellent choice. I'm not much of a fan of the BOX, but that controller is awesome.

I think Joy2Key should work. I'm going to try it later. I'll tell you how it goes.

EDIT: I don't think I know what I'm saying. Is there a way to let me use the D pad in Kawaks and stuff? Will the XBCD 360 setup have that stuff?
