UnRARing large multiple file issues

Whenever i get one of those things where its like 50 RAR files in parts, I always have problems extracting them now. I always get some random file is currupt, and i have to redownload like 10 files of the thing before i get it right >_< Does anyone know why its doing this?

 

My main HDD IS failing though, if not dead already (im using it now temporarily after a huge system crash untill my new one comes in the mail)

 

Is it doing this because when i download torrents and stuff it caches things to the main C drive before putting it on the other HDDs?

 

HDD1:20GB POS failing thing

HDD2:40GB POS

HDD3:40GB POS

 

even if i have something on HDD2 and i extract it to HDD3 i get the same thing (yeah i know it should be numbered 0-2...wahh)

 

i cant wait till my SATA drive comes and i can throw out all 3 (i might sell the 40GB though, they are still good...i think)

 

Does it have anything to do with this IDE Drive strength thing in my BIOS? My options are Lowest, Low, Normal, and High, before it was on Normal, now its on Low (I did a BIOS Upgrade and everything reset) but it does the same thing. Should i try setting it to Lowest? or even Highest?
