Shibathedog Posted January 5, 2007 Author Posted January 5, 2007 i think it would be smart to do like alot of corporate websites do and banking websites. Whenever they link to an external site a page pops up that states they are in no way affiliated and not responsible for what is on their pages and then there is a continue button.
James Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 I think the best solution to the following: Maybe banning specific torrent files rather than banning torrent sites would be the best way to do things?Of course, this is assuming that people don't reply to warez requests with "Go to www.superduperwareztorrents.com," rather than telling them off. That will not work since most torrent sites link to warez of some sort .
Shibathedog Posted January 7, 2007 Author Posted January 7, 2007 well what i said would probably work. I mean if banks and stuff are using it, its probably a pretty rock solid way to avoid trouble. Banks don't mess around.

ken_cinder Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Yup, they're simply linking to external resources that they don't endorse. It's a means to protect themselves from being sued if something goes wrong with said resource.
