Private Biscuit Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I have the newest version (1.57) and I want to play kof97. I already have the game, put the bio files in the zip renamed from NG-LO.ROM to 000-lo.lo NG-SFIX.ROM to sfix.sfx NEO-GEO.ROM to sp-s2.sp1Before I renamed them I couldn't see my game on the "available games" option, after I did it I can now see it but when I try to play it... after the files that are loading are shown kawaks just disappears. Anyone have an idea why?
Robert Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I found Kawaks to be the most stable emulator of the lot!Runs on win95 and up, at full speed. I'm very happy with it,and until I saw a post the other day somewhere, I'd neverheard of it having a problem running.
Agozer Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 You need MAME's "authentic" Neo-Geo BIOS files. Renaming the original Neo-Geo BIOS files won't work.

Private Biscuit Posted January 3, 2007 Author Posted January 3, 2007 Can someone pm me a site where I can find it? (if it's not against the rules of course) it's really starting to piss me off I can't find them anywhere.
Robert Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Well it's illegal to ask... The roms you need areSIZE CRC NAME131072 - 354029fc - sfix.sfx 131072 - 9036d879 - sp-s2.sp1 65536 - e09e253c - 000-lo.lo Put them in a zip file called neogeo.zip and it goes into your roms folder. edit: read your pm
Private Biscuit Posted January 4, 2007 Author Posted January 4, 2007 It seems that I configured something wrong. I re-installed it and it worked perfectly. edit: thanks robert you just made my day.
