Genesis Emulator Question

Can anyone get 'Wonder Boy in Monster World' for the Mega Drive / Genesis to work on their PSP?

 

Ive tried DGen and PSPGenesis. Does anyone know any settings for these, or any other emu that will work?

 

EDIT: Actually lets change this to a general SRAM question- Sonic 3 works... its just a tad buggy. But every other game I try on the PSP, regardless of the emulator, that requires SRAM saving, doesnt work.

 

To elaborate on the original problem, Wonder Boy works, but when you press 'start' at the title screen it freezes, where normally it should go to options 'Continue' or 'New Game'.
