Rag
Just curious since I did a massive security overhaul on my comp and looking for opinions, what FREE firewall do you guys use if any at all? I'm currently trying out Comodo Firewall Pro, my only negative comment is that I have to turn it off completely to direct connect game online. I switched from Sygate's firewall just to try new things. Also thought anyone would be interested in this http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.as...p;enterthread=y
BlackKnight
Sygate Personal Firewall 5.5 Symantec bought them out some time ago but you can still find 5.x versions on mirrors around. Its the best Ive used and its free.
Shibathedog
IMO software firewalls are a waste of time and a nuisance, just make sure you have a hardware firewall up and dont worry about it
Mooney
Hardware firewall ftw.

The only times I can remember actually messing with my firewall is to allow things that I normally WOULD allow anyway. Now I feel dumb.
Shibathedog
yeah they are just too paranoid for their own good and most of the time dont even work, a hardware firewall is much more secure anyway
