For some reason I keep coming back to this thread. It's bugging me. I would really really like to know more about Vampiria so please keep us updated Olaf with every little detail. I can't wait!

 

(my secret wish is for Vampiria to run on PSPs too, hahaha, but we know that's never gonna happen)

For those following along, Thaddeus has posted some samples of music in Vampiria on my forums. Below is what he had to say...

 

Several tracks all put into one to give you an idea of what the game is sounding like so far. The MP3 was reduced to low quality 32 kbps....

 

The lead music composer for Vampiria is Brandyn H. Siegler (Efin).

I don't think they can. It's heavily influenced by Castlevania, sure, but it's not Castlevania. They don't have "2D platformer about killing vampires" copyrighted, I guarantee you.

 

Also, I'm very interested in it. Screenshots and music don't mean much to me, but he has my positive mental thoughts towards completing the game.

That he does, and he's doing this very professionally -- like a life's work or something.

 

EDIT: Yes, it will be available for free once complete.
