iq_132 Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 if it's slow, you need to upgrade your pc or buy an actual dreamcast.
Agozer Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 You have not said anything about your computer specs nor about the graphics card you have. Like iq said, there's a good chance that your computer is simply too slow.
Gryph Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Dreamcasts are pretty cheap anyway. You'll get more enjoyment out of the game if you buy a Dreamcast instead of upgrading your PC to play an emulator.
GodPigeon Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 You seem to have not Activated the Capcom Hack. Check that and it should run close to normal speed.
jaycee Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 (edited) what is pigspeed do anyways? i was reading about that in forums. where can i get it? and i tell you info on my pcs gc when i find out how to do it lol imrly a no0b.. i got windows xp btw and i have chankast alpha v0.25 if that helps Edited February 22, 2007 by jaycee
Robert Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 That pigspeed and so on I believe is for earlier versions of chankast, not suitable for your version (I could be wrong though!)
Agozer Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 PigSpeed is a part of Chankast Tools, and is generally worthless for Chankast 0.25a. PigSpeed tries to make emulation faster by using some very unorthodox things to adjust the timings between the your CPU and the emulator. At least this is my understanding at least. The problem is that SpeedPig can makes your system very unstable, to the point of constant BSODs in some cases. So yeah, I wouldn't recommend using it.
Shibathedog Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 its way cheaper and a better idea (It will always run better on the actual system) to just buy a Dreamcast. Not to insult the authors or anything, but until it reaches the state of perfection (kinda like PSX emulation) its not really worth bothering with IMO

But like i said before it doesnt look like he activated the Capcom Hack if its running INCREDIBLY slow. i could be wrong
