Poor Noob Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 (edited) Helping the noob is good for your karma. When I try to boot soulcalibur with nulldc from an nrg file, I get the audio screen: Am I doomed, or is there any way to get this to work? Thanks. Edited April 20, 2007 by Poor Noob
BlackKnight Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Do other games work? Quick and thoughless answer: Use another image. Try ripping to a different format, say, ISO or BIN/CUE. I just guess this is the way because my SC works fine with no problems.

Agozer Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 There's a good chance that the CD image you have is not selfboot. Either find yourself an image that is selfboot or hack your existing image to make it selfboot.
Gryph Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Mine is an NRG and it works fine so that's not it. It's probably Agozer's theory that it is not a selfbootable image.
Sultan Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 I used Nero to rip a bunch of stuff and they didn't work. When I used Alcohol 120%, they did. BUT some old nero rips I had imaged a long time ago which do work. So there is probably just some setting I've forgotten in nero to make them work. They'll likely work with Alcohol so I'd try that if you haven't already.
scorpion25 Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Try using Exoboot or Selfboot inducer to make it a selfboot.
Poor Noob Posted April 21, 2007 Author Posted April 21, 2007 I got it to work! I used DSSBS to make it self bootable. Thanks for your help, everybody.
