How do you deal with stress and/or depression?

I usually use games, music, or taking a break to relieve some of the stress. Otherwise, I just deal with the problem until it's over (usually from a essay or studying). Plus, venting to someone or something usually helps.

I believe that I have the imbalance.

 

Is it possible to have depression due to a genetic predisposition? Like alcoholism?

That's something I've heard a little about. I don't know if there is much research on it thought but I wouldn't surprise me. Depression is like any other medical problem thus genetics can definitely play a role.
