Diso Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 I used like Mame 0.60. It's still fun to follow the insane progress of Mame, although I miss that WIP page they used to do on mame.net
DropDeadEd Posted April 27, 2007 Author Posted April 27, 2007 I hate how the newer builds are so slow.
Diso Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 What do you mean by slow? They seem the same to me. (I assume you use a GUI and loading the roms are slow?)
DropDeadEd Posted April 27, 2007 Author Posted April 27, 2007 Just loading the roms is slow. But not so for hack versions of mame.
Robert Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 My first version was 0.21 then 0.36 then 0.55 then 0.61 then 0.77 then 0.87 then every version thereafter. I have collected quite a lot of other builds since I started though.
DropDeadEd Posted April 27, 2007 Author Posted April 27, 2007 I couldnt stand having that many builds.
Robert Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 I have dozens of Arcade emulators and various builds of each.
DropDeadEd Posted April 27, 2007 Author Posted April 27, 2007 at the most I keep 5 or so of each type.
BlackKnight Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 First was .5- something. Can't remember. Got it to play the arcade version of Mortal Kombat II with better graphics and the intro story.
Agozer Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 I think mine was something like 0.3x My computer was so pathetic that I didn't really use MAME much.
