jpxtreme Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 I'm having problems getting joy2key to work with my games under windows 98 SE. It works perfectly under XP but I am forced to use 98 for some reason. When I play Lord of the Rings ROTK, joy2key isn't working as it should supposed to be. I tried other games and is it's still the same. However, when I'm on desktop it seems working, I can emulate mouse movements using gamepad. But when I begin to play a game, now it doesn't work. I wanna know if you guys with windows 98 get joy2key to work while playing a game? Or do you also experience the same problem problem I have? I thought joy2key is compatible with 98, is there any solution? Please help me...
jpxtreme Posted April 30, 2007 Author Posted April 30, 2007 please... anyone? i need to confirm if anybody who has windows 98 get joy2key to work while in-game?
GodPigeon Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 I wish i could Help, but i havent used windows 98 since like......1998.I HIGHLY doubt anyone hear has windows 98, especially if u read the System Specs Thread. Why exactly are u being forced to use Windows 98??
jpxtreme Posted April 30, 2007 Author Posted April 30, 2007 the reason is, i only have a low system spec pc. I play games with 98 Lite micro which absolutely fast because it doesn't eat too much system resources like XP does. And ofcourse some old games only works with 98.
Agozer Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 IIRC, Joy2Key simply does not work under Windows 98. Only on NT-based systems.
BlackKnight Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 I'm thinking the same thing. You'd probably have an easier time shifting up to XP than fiddling around trying to get it to work. If you're playing ROTK you likely have a comp that can handle XP with no real worries anyway.
jpxtreme Posted April 30, 2007 Author Posted April 30, 2007 Now that clears things up... Do you know any alternatives of joy2key? software that can emulate keyboard press or mouse movement/click through gamepad?

Robert Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 I dunno if any of this stuff helps at all, seeing like I don't have a DS...
Alpha Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Try Xpadder instead of Joy2Key using our tutorial: http://www.1emulation.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21675
