I like this Arcade Cabinet

Recommended Posts

I am thinking of buying this Arcade Cabinet. Will cost me around $500, What do you guys think?

The Cyber Lead Cabinet is a compact 29 inch sit down cabinet manufactured by Namco. The cabinet is equipped with a deluxe dual resolution monitor (15k/24k). The picture from the cabinet can also be displayed on any TV (capable of showing an NTSC Source). Which allows everyone to watch the action.

Another special feature of this Cabinet, is it can be networked to another cabinet. Allowing 2 players to play the same game on 2 different cabinets. Players can play games like side scrolling beat them up games cooperatively. Or fighting games in versus against each other. Each player getting their own controls and monitor. This is done via the use of a special link cable (available to customers at an additional charge.)

The cabinet has a specially designed LED panel embedded into the header of the cabinet. Which displays, information from the game, pricing and advertising.

The cabinet has ease of access to all parts with a hinged control panel that flips out. Giving operators easy access to button/microswitch replacement, as well as degausing, volume control and monitor adjustments. The front and back panels are fully detachable. Allowing direct access to the spacious interior of the cabinet.

The cabinet can be quickly moved and installed into another location with it's rear wheels, as well as being stable in it's stationary position thanks to it's front castors.

Please note this cabinet is a horizontal (left to right) orientated screen only. It cannot be rotated to be a vertical screen.

that's going to end up 500 + whatever it'll cost you for the board and games.

i recall a feature in egm or another magazine a few years ago that showed you how to buy arcade cabinets for cheap.

The only thing missing is the PCB, I do not need that since I already have some PCB's here

To be honest, I'd rather purchase an arcade cabinet that's upright. I like the feel of standing up and playing, rather than sitting my ass down on the chair.

Otherwise, I see no point in getting this particular arcade cab. It would just feel the same as playing on the computer.

Save yourself the money and buy an X-Arcade and put it on your computer desk. You can play all your mame, neogeo games, etc. that way.

I already have an older upright LAI cab (Big black and red cab) which only has a 25" screen.

This one has a 29" screen and I like the idea that I can sit and play it.

Yes I have Mame and can play on a PC, But I find it better on a true arcade machine. This cab will never be converted to a Mame cab.

Its worth alot more money as a true arcade machine.
