OverlordMondo
Dragons, pirates, ninjas, and dinosaurs. All holding swords and guns. And jetpacks. It's like, a snake right? That's pretty extreme. But give it a jetpack and laser vision, now that's EXTREME TO THE MAX!

Madman
Well, from my experience, that project you plan is WAY to big for 2 people. Most enthusiastic programmers suffer on a simple 2D game.Even my old Sidtool took 3 months of coding, on an 8 hour per day basis. 7 days a week. But you might want to check out pygame.org. It may help you, as my moanin wont keep you from trying anyway

Elazul Yagami
hmm, when i was doing my research i wasn't really looking for python engines.... i know torque has python bindings, but it's for money.... alot of people swear by panda3d Blender Game Engine is decent. delta3d is decent looking. Try the Advanced Search out and specify exactly what you neeed.you'd hafta do more research though.... hope that helps.
