Shibathedog Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 yep, back when games where meant to provide fun and entertainment instead of cash in the developers' wallets
Gryph Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 Games were ALWAYS meant to provide cash in the developer's wallet. To think otherwise is flocking stupid.
Shibathedog Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 Yeah, But in addition to providing fun and entertainment Now no one gives a crap and profit comes before the customer's enjoyment
Elazul Yagami Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 i agree with shiba. it used to be a single guy working in his bedroom would make a game, or a small group of people wanted to make something, it was a labor of love.... sure there was commercialism but not anything like the scale it's on now... i mean, i don't think there are that many people into the experience anyone, other than miyamoto, warren (deus ex), and that guy that made ico and shadow of the colossus.
