Ahmad89
Yes i am telling the truth. Before i got my new pc i had a laptop, Compaq Presario 2500. It would shut down by itself for no reason. Its old so i needed a new pc. Another reason i wanted a new PC was because the damn microsoft works is not compatible with 2003 or 2007. You would think new softwares are backwards compatible. Well now i have my new PC. ITs all nice and wont shut down by itself so thats a good thing. Here is the good part. It still has microsoft works and i found out that the microsft office is only a trial. Why the fu*k do they give me a FU*KING TRIAL THOSE SONS OF BIT*HES. Congradulations microsft anther person will download a copy of 2007 with a fake serial #. Last but not least my laptop had a very old graphics card that would not even alow me to play solitare without shutting down. Now my new computer has a Nvidia geforce 6150SE and when i tried to play Dirt it is FU*KING SLOW. This is really starting to piss me off. I cant afford to but a graphics card. I just bought this computer about a month and a half ago. Now for my question: My computer specs areWindows VistaDX 10 (i think thats what it tells me)AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core Processor 5200+ 2.60 GHz1918 MB RAMNvidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430About 300GB of space left These are the requirments for Dirt----------------------------Minimum Specifications---------------------------- - Windows XP- DirectX 9.0c- Pentium 4 @ 3.0GHz or Athlon 64 3000+- 1GB RAM.- Graphics Card: GeForce 6800 / Radeon X1300 or above- DirectX Compatible Sound Card- Dual Layer Compatible DVD-ROM Drive- 12.5 Gb Hard Drive Space ----------------------------Recommended Specifications---------------------------- - Windows XP/Vista.- DirectX 9.0c- Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.66Ghz or Athlon X2 3800+- 2GB RAM.- Graphics Card: GeForce 8800 or Radeon X1950- Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Sound Card.- Dual Layer Compatible DVD-ROM Drive- 12.5 Gb Hard Drive Space These are for Lost Planet: min req: Windows XP / Vista with Direct X9.0c Intel Pentium 4 HT / AMD Athlon 64 3500+ or greater 512MB RAM (XP) / 1GB RAM (Vista) 8GB Hard Drive Space DVD-ROM Drive (DVD9 compatible) 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 6600 or equivalent (DirectX 9.0c + Shader3.0 compatible) DirectSound compatible Sound Card Mouse and Keyboard Max request is: Windows Vista Intel Core 2 Duo 2GB RAM (Vista) / 1GB RAM (XP) 512MB Geforce 8800+ or equivalent Should my computer be able to play dirt and will it be able to play Lost Planet. I am going to FU*king snap if Lost Planet wont work. Is it my graphics card that is the problem. I feel a little better know
Wizard
In before "Vista is crap." Also your comp shouldn't suffer any problems with your current specs. In fact it should run rather flawlessly on a decent setting.
Ahmad89
Then why is it slow
Wizard
Re-reading it, you simply need a new video card.

Wizard
Samething applies, better videocard. Just get a better one, maybe a 6800 or higher, because what you have is way low.
ken_cinder
I meet the recommended requirements for Lost Planet except for the video card, I have a 512MB X1650 Pro (Which is above the minimum) and the Lost Planet demo runs like ASS. Turning everything down, it still won't get above 16 fps, and I keep getting that annoying message popping up. Capcom's PC titles are usually very badly done when ported. Weirdy
For your M$ office problem, you might want to try open office. So far the only problem I've had with my documents is with using the equation editor.
Jitway
You could also use Google Apps which I have used before and work quite well. And you can't beat the price...lol.
