Robert Downy Jr. is a good actor, I have faith in the movie. And Jon Favreau i'm pretty sure isn't as incompetent as Uwe Boll or Paul W. S. Anderson so... he should do a decent job at worst.

I havent watched a good movie in a long time. And by that i mean a month. I hope this movie is at least worth watching.

The alcoholism doesn't develop until later in Stark's life, and seeing as how this is a movie about the origins of Iron Man, it probably won't be touched on until the end of the movie as a sort of foreshadowing to a sequal.
