ReDWiNgEdAnGeL
Hello, I'm sorta new at this but, if it isn't to much trouble...can I ask you to help me with my NullDC emulator? For some reason when I try playing "Shenmue1.cdi" It crashes on me. THe MS-Dos in the background keeps saying " Error in .\dc\mem\sh4_internal_reg.cpp:ReadMem_area7:572 -> Unknown Read from Area7, addr=1f100008" over and over. It plays for awhile then it freezes when I barley started a new game. I re-downloaded the game AND the emulator many times. So can you see the problem? I'm using the following: Alienware® P2 ALX Chassis with AlienIce™ 3.0 Video Cooling Desktop PCDual 768MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8800 Ultra Graphics ProccesorIntel® Core™ 2 Extreme QX6850 3.0GHz 8MB Cache 1333MHz FSB ProccessorAlienware® Approved NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI Motherboard320GB (2 x 160GB) Serial ATA 1.5Gb/s 10,000 RPM w/ 2 x 16MB Cache It barely came in today. This stuff is New and state of the art so I shouldn't have any problems. (Paid over $5,000 for this)
Agozer
It might very well be that nullDC fails to emulate Shenmue properly, or the CD image is corrupt. Just because one has state-of-the-art hardware doesn't mean that everything should work without problems, especially emulators that are nowhere near perfect in what they do. Tynvar
It's probably a bad rip, read errors usually mean that.
