Pokemon Diamond is only getting like 40 fps on ideas

I don't know what it is. I'm new to all of this, so please, be patient with me. Are there certain settings I need to tune it to to ensre that it runs at the 60 fps that the compatability topic said it would?

I can run Battlefield 2142 on my PC, I'm gonna be so pissed if it can't handle a DS game.

Comparing PC games and emulated games is like comparing apples and oranges.

 

Many games are slow even on my AMD Athlon 64 3000+ regardless of the emulator I use.

Try playing around with frameskip and CPU speed.

Hi (became a member today)! Using this topic instead of making a new.

 

I'm playing Pokemon Diamond on iDeaS (newest version), and I wonder what options I'm gonna choose to get the best sound and stuff.

 

Right now, the sound are hacking a bit. The fps are getting to 50-60.

 

I've chosen theese settings now:

 

"no frameskip"

"increase speed with 100%"

 

Is there any way to get it better?

 

Please help, and sorry for my bad english.

your PC just might not be powerful enough, trying using frameskip and see if that fixes the issue
