Wireless card killing PC

I've just moved my PC to a new location and opted for a PCI wireless card as opposed to running more Cat5 cable. The problem is that whenever I install the card, my OS (Win XP) will not start. I just get a faint blue screen. If I pull the card out then the system boots up fine. I've tried two different cards from two different companies. I have an ASUS motherboard running an AMD CPU. Any ideas?

Same kinda thing happened to me... maybe you need a bigger power source?
