Lucandrake Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Hey guys, my friends PSU fried in the morning, so naturally we go and get him a new one, when we come back to my place I hook up all the cables, make sure everything is nice, and test to make sure the CD drives and everything else is up and running. But , after a rough ride (computer didn't fall in the car it just moved left and right), we got to his house and his monitor doesn't realize the computer is hooked to it. Same thing with the previous monitor it had worked on after the PSU got installed. Any idea's ?
olaf Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 More like the computer can't send enough power the monitor to send its video signal, it sounds like. Is it the same power or greater than the old PSU?
Lucandrake Posted August 12, 2007 Author Posted August 12, 2007 The old PSU is 350w, the new one is 450w. We just hooked it up and it worked again but I feel that'll it'll go crazy again.
Lucandrake Posted August 12, 2007 Author Posted August 12, 2007 I know it didn't get fried because the input has worked twice, and about 3 times it hasn't.
